Service Description

RefundMyDeposit, operated by JediTeck, is a self-help document preparation service. We help renters prepare demand letters and related documents for security deposit recovery based on their state’s landlord-tenant laws.

Not a Law Firm

We are NOT a law firm and do not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by purchasing or using this service. The documents we prepare are based on publicly available state statutes and are provided as a starting point for your own use. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney in your state.

What You Get

  • Demand Letter ($19): A state-specific demand letter citing applicable statutes, customized with your case details. Delivered within 24 hours.
  • Full Recovery Package ($149): Demand letter plus small claims court filing preparation, evidence organization guide, case summary, and escalation instructions. Delivered within 48 hours.

No Guaranteed Outcome

Results are not guaranteed. Recovery depends on your specific situation, the accuracy of the information you provide, your landlord’s response, and potentially court proceedings. Estimated recovery amounts shown on our site are illustrative only, based on average deposit amounts and state penalty statutes.

Refund Policy

Refunds are available only if requested BEFORE your documents are generated and delivered. Once documents have been delivered to you, the service is considered fulfilled and no refund will be issued. All refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase.

Payment

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service. Prices are in USD and are one-time charges (no recurring billing).

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about your situation.
  • Review all documents before sending them to your landlord.
  • Understand that you are responsible for sending the letter and any follow-up actions.
  • Seek legal counsel if your situation involves complex legal issues.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JediTeck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
